On August 5, 2025, teams of Grassroots4GVP volunteers tabled at six National Night Out (NNO) events, spreading our message about safe storage of firearms and promoting our group across Massachusetts. We tabled in Arlington, Cambridge, Malden, Medford, Springfield and Stoneham. Sadly, Pittsfield’s NNO event got rained out but we will be there next year!
Our combined efforts reached over 2500 people and built strong connections with the police departments sponsoring the event. Lots of great conversations about 'Asking the Question' of whether there are firearms in homes where our children visit. While some people already knew to ask the question, many others did not. In Springfield, our Grassroots4GVP team also distributed cable locks and had a good chat with the Mayor. And each tabling team signed up new Grassroots4GVP members too!
Tabling is a great way to get involved in Grassroots4GVPs work–it is easy, the conversations are fun, and you walk away knowing you empowered other people to stay safe.
